FUN REDISCOVERED

We want to have fun… prepare food and look at each other in a kitchen brought to life like an artful composition… And, we have to have that glass counter!

In white, brown and red brush strokes, the kitchen composition proposes a J-shape peninsula layout, keeping guests out of the action. Function flows within: prep while cleaning, unload the dishwasher, make coffee or pop a bottle of champagne -all within reach.  Three contrasting countertop materials define "territories": the desired textured glass for the guest eating counter; white quartz on the cooking and clean-up areas; stainless steel on the prep-peninsula. The undulating glass counter follows the curves of the ice-filled sink. Light glows from around that sink, the floor below, strategic ceiling spots and a whimsical chandelier. The Georgia O’Keeffe-inspired giant flower above the red range stems into the pot filler.
