The best ideas come from children. This kitchen started with the family’s favorite painting, loved by their little girl, because “It is like Toy Story!”
Their cooking zone now features Toy Story as the pivotal piece, tucked in a niche and covered with tempered glass. The painting is framed by the orange Bertazzoni range, bright green spice pullouts and a curved hood, which trails the shape of a floating purple ceiling. The colors spread around the kitchen: bright green coffee area, blue and fuchsia cabinetry at the sink area, purple toe kicks. The refrigerator and freezer doors are under sleek disguise of corrugated glass/aluminum doors with cobalt blue bottoms.
The sink zone counter angles and grows into the breakfast table. Secret doggie gates expand out of cabinets and protect the family room furniture from revengeful scratches.
